Nestled in the heart of Palos Verdes, South Coast Botanic Garden is a hidden gem for couples dreaming of a lush garden wedding in Los Angeles. With vibrant florals, shaded pathways, and serene open spaces, it provided the perfect backdrop for Tim & Kelsey’s special day.
One of the most heartfelt moments of their wedding was a breathtaking surprise from the groom — a handcrafted Japanese arch adorned with 1,000 paper cranes. In Japanese tradition, folding senbazuru (a thousand origami cranes) symbolizes patience, commitment, and a wish for a long and happy marriage. Tim built the arch himself, spending weeks folding and stringing together each of the 1,000 paper cranes. It wasn’t just a backdrop — it was a labor of love, a quiet testament to his patience, dedication, and the life they were building together.
The reception was filled with laughter and twinkling lights beneath a canopy of white blossoms. Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, South Coast Botanic Garden offers a stunning setting that brings nature’s beauty into your love story.
If you’re looking for a Los Angeles wedding photographer to document your Southern California wedding, I’d love to connect and help bring your vision to life!
